Speaking of inspiration,  you will also find our annual Art Book Guide showcasing our top artist books. Three years ago, we invited artists and art educators to share their books through the International Artist Bookstore. Today, we are proud to offer more than 70 titles for purchase. The collection spans a wide range of subjects, from art murder mysteries to Harley Brown’s Eternal Truths for Every Artist, with many fascinating topics in between.

Beginning on Page 55, we highlight some of our top publishers and invite you to explore the 2026 guide to find a new source of inspiration. Be sure to browse the selection and perhaps add a book to your collection this month.

Finally, this issue is a celebration of watercolor artists. We are pleased to feature four watercolor demonstrations, along with a watercolor cover artist, Daniela Werneck. Watercolor is a delicate and expressive medium, and many oil and acrylic artists also make the transition to it. Yet, like any craft, mastering watercolor’s gentle touch and understanding how the paint interacts with the paper can take years of practice. We hope these pages provide the tips, techniques and insights you need to continue growing on your artistic journey.
