- Bose speaker: This small but powerful Boze speaker is my musical sidekick every day. My music tastes are very varied but always set, or pander to, my mood. So when I’m the first one in the building I can turn up the volume and jolt myself awake with something loud and a cup of coffee, or shut out the distractions later in the day and lose myself in something more subtle.
- Custom art tables: I have a friend who is a true craftsman, and he generously built these two art tables to accommodate my specific studio needs. Both are on wheels so they can be easily moved around the studio next to whatever project I’m working on. They have great brush storage, which makes everything accessible and easily found.
- Gamblin paints and mediums: Gamblin is my go-to brand. I buy very large quantities as my canvases tend to be very large. The paint, though appearing to be in a disorganized jumbled mass, is still somewhat organized by color and is immediately attainable. I like to have everything spread out so I can see it right away.
- Best Santa Fe easel: This is a great easel. Heavy, solid and trustworthy. The canvas in the image is 48-by-96” and is pretty heavy. The easel copes like a champ, and the crank system works beautifully even with these oversized works.
- Grace photo: I’ve had this copy of the famous early 1900s photo by Eric Enstrom in every studio I’ve ever occupied. I love the simple message of thanks and humbleness, and I find it a good thing to look at throughout the day. Helps to put everything in perspective.
