Raymar’s new panels consist of a copper plate mounted to a rigid ACM panel that is impervious to moisture. The aluminum back is finished with an archival, brushed silver polyester paint for an elegant presentation that resists scratches.
I laid in the gesture of the figure with oil paint and a brush dipped in walnut oil. My brush fluidly glided across the copper surface, which took the paint beautifully.
I could lay on thick or thin brushstrokes with ease. The paint stayed where I put it without sliding, yet I could still soften and blend throughout.
The color of the copper adds such depth to the skin tones. I picked up the paint with a little oil to let the copper purposefully gleam through where desired.
